Hello. My name is Stefanie Rowe and I live in Northwest Omaha. I’ve been married to my husband Dave for 12 years and together we have two boys, Dekker (age 8) and Tucker (age 5). We love the Nebraska Huskers, traveling, trying new restaurants, and being a tourist in our own great city. I grew up in McCook, Nebraska and have degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. When I’m not chasing the boys or picking Nerf darts up off our floor, I work as an assistant professor of Family Life and Counseling at Nebraska Christian College and as a private practice counselor. My oldest son, Dekker, was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss at the age of four, though we suspect he was born with this loss. He wears two hearing aids and we utilize speech services and an FM system through an IEP at our neighborhood elementary school. Along with his little brother, Dekker loves all things musical, baseball and basketball, going to the pool, and spending time with his friends and family.
