The next Connect Saturdays event is Saturday April 6th 10am-noon at Washington Branch of the Omaha Public Library, 2868 Ames Avenue.  Connect will provide a deaf or hard of hearing adult to read to your children.Deaf/hard of hearing and hearing children are welcome. A voice and/or sign interpreter will also be present. This is a wonderful way to enjoy our public libraries and to see and hear a story told by a deaf or hard of hearing adult in our community.

Connect Social – Saturday January 19th

We hope you can join us for a Connect Social!

Deaf and hard of hearing adults and families with deaf or hard of hearing children are invited to enjoy a light lunch and snacks at a family-friendly venue. This will be a great opportunity for families to meet deaf and hard of hearing adults in our community who are interested in serving as role models and mentors to children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Families are encouraged to stay to attend a wonderful performance! the students from across the state of Nebraska who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing will be featured as they perform with the Young Americans. The show will be held right after lunch at 2:00 pm at Hastings Middle School. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $10 for adults and $8 for students.

Nebraska Hands & Voices invites you to join us for Triassic Thursday at Fontenelle Forest. Come “trek through time” with us and enjoy the DinoQuest2 exhibit. Bring a picnic dinner (if you like), and enjoy the dinosaurs at dusk!
