Every month NE Hands and Voices highlights a Guide by Your Side Parent Guide
This month we are featuring Shelli Janning:
Location: I live in Blair. I am married and have two children. My youngest, Brooke age 17, has Single Sided Deafness (SSD).
Role on the Board: H&V Guide by Your Side Program Coordinator, H&V Astra Advocate, parent of a child who is D/HH.
Why I am involved: I want to provide information and support for families who are new to raising a child who is D/HH. When my daughter was diagnosed, I was overwhelmed, and it was the moms/families who had older kids who helped us the most in our journey.
