Diana Aguilar

Hello! My name is Diana Aguilar, and I have two deaf children with bilateral cochlear implants, Joann (11) and Leonardo (7). Joann uses total communication while her brother is the total opposite, favoring gestural signs over voiced communication. Leo also has mild autism and ADHD, through which we have shared struggles and gained life lessons that can be beneficial to parents who have questions or have been newly diagnosed. I look forward to helping the Spanish-speaking community with understanding the deaf community/lifestyle through means of translation, education, and acceptance of everyone involved.
