Every month NE Hands and Voices highlights a member of our Board
This month we are featuring Karen Kliment Thompson:
Location: I live in McCook with my husband Aaron and our three children, Mitchell (8), Claire (6), and Marshall (5). Marshall was born with Pendred and is a bilateral cochlear user. I work for the hospital as the Vice President Ancillary Services, and Aaron works for the Bureau of Reclamation as the Nebraska Kansas Area Manager.
Role on the Board: I started on the board in fall of 2022, and began serving as Treasurer in 2023.
Why I am involved: Hands and Voices has been a big support for our family since Marshall was born 5 years ago. It is exciting now to be more involved with the board and continue to support back to the organization that is so important to families like us.
