The Nebraska Department of Education's mission is to lead and support the preparation of all Nebraskans for learning, earning, and living.
The Nebraska Early Development Network provides early intervention services for families with children birth to age three with developmental delays and/or health care needs and connects families to needed services.
The Nebraska Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program oversees the newborn hearing screening process for Nebraska. Their mission includes developing, promoting, and supporting systems to ensure all newborns in Nebraska receive hearing screenings, family-centered evaluations, and early intervention as appropriate.
PTI Nebraska (Parent Training and Information) is a statewide resource for families of children with disabilities and special health care needs. Their mission is to provide training, information and support to Nebraska parents and professionals who have an interest in children ages birth through twenty-six, who receive or should receive special health related services. PTI will enable parents and students, creating the capacity for them to improve their educational outcomes.
The Regional Programs work cooperatively to maximize state and local resources for the enhancement of the education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing ages birth to 21 who are receiving early intervention or special education services.
The Nebraska Association of the Deaf has been serving all deaf and hard of hearing people in Nebraska, their families, advocates, and public service providers since 1902. NEAD keeps an eye on education, employment, communication access, public accommodations, legislation and public policy.

The Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing advocates to create opportunities by raising awareness through collaboration. Their vision is access for all, with the goal of empowering individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing through training, and to provide services that create awareness.
The Mission of the West Omaha Service Club is to contribute to the well-being of the Eastern Nebraska region through charitable donations with a special emphasis on supporting the deaf and hard of hearing ​community and other related causes.
