Kaysen O'Brien

Congratulations to Kaysen O'Brien, our March 2026 Rising Star!

Kaysen was nominated by Carre Klein: 

"Kaysen O'Brien is a sophomore at NPS Senior High and is being nominated for the Rising Star Award in recognition of the maturity and self-advocacy he demonstrates every day. He has done a great job communicating which classes he would like interpreted and which portions he does not need support for, showing strong independence and self-awareness. He is also very responsible about emailing his interpreter and Teacher of the Deaf with schedule changes or absences, helping everyone stay informed and prepared. Along with these skills, he is a fun, positive teen who brings great energy wherever he goes.  He also maintains a part-time job, keeps his grades up, and participates in extracurricular activities. In addition, he takes part in NRP activities, which allow him to connect with other students who are deaf or hard of hearing. He is truly going places, and we are excited to see all that he will continue to accomplish."
