"Teach your child how to advocate for themselves. But, until they are at the point of doing so on their own, you are their advocate. It's OK for you to step up and tell someone that you are not okay with that for your child. When you do this, you are teaching your child how to advocate for themselves and helping them find their strength along their journey."
