"I am proud to nominate Alexis Kuhlmann for the Rising Star award. Over the past two years, Alexis has been an integral member of the Nebraska Regional Program’s Battle of the Books Team. Alexis has competed on the Buff team both years and this year advanced to the Playoff round. Competing alongside two peers, she represented Nebraska against 11 elite teams from across the United States. Beyond her dedication to literacy and academic competition, Alexis is highly active within her school, community, and the Nebraska Regional Programs."
