Alexis Liras

Congratulations to Alexis Liras, our April 2024 Rising Star!

Alexis was nominated by Heather Esterdahl who had the following to say:

" I am honored to nominate Alexis Liras for the Rising Star Award. Alexis is currently an 8th grader in Bridgeport, NE where she is a positive member of the school and the community. She is on the junior high volleyball team and has created a way for her and her coach to communicate during noisy games and practices. Alexis is a strong advocate for herself and has a clear understanding of her access needs. She has had some challenges related to her hearing and has handled them with grace and determination. In the community, Alexis is involved in her church and attends many community events. She also frequently attends Nebraska Regional Program activities and encourages others to go and meet new people. I am thankful to have the opportunity to work with Alexis and am proud of the person she is becoming. “
