Boone Sladek

Congratulations to Boone Sladek, our December 2022 Rising Star!

Boone was nominated by Carre Klein, who had the following to say:

"I would like to nominate Boone Sladek as a Rising Star. He is learning how to use an interpreter and is now signing sentences and understanding them. A year ago we were just learning to sign words. He is beginning to look at his interpreter when someone is speaking quietly or too fast. He is now in kindergarten and has made terrific adjustments to a new teacher of the deaf and a new private school. He is using his interpreter appropriately and is using visual phonics to learn sounds he may not hear or say. He has come a long way and is definitely a rising star!"
