Congratulations to Diezel Sidak, our March 2019 Rising Star!

Diezel was nominated by one of his teachers who captured his outstanding qualities below:

"I would like to nominate Diezel Sidak, fifth grade, for his exceptional advocacy skills this year. He not only led his IEP, but also he has befriended and has become a role model to other students with hearing loss in his school. Diezel has grown much more aware of his Deafness this year and even has discovered what Deaf Gain means (the positive attributes of being Deaf). He advocates for himself in classes and lets adults know how they can better support him in and out of the classroom. He definitely deserves this honor."
