Jake Frost

Congratulations to Jake Frost, our May 2020 Rising Star!

Jake was nominated by Sue Peterson, who said the following:

"The first thing I noticed about Jake was his sense of humor! He laughs easily, and can sure take some ribbing - and give it back too! He was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2019, when he was still in middle school. Because of the side effects of chemo and how it affects the immune system, Jake was not able to come back to school for his 2nd semester of 8th grade. We switched to home based service, and I cannot say enough about how quickly he adapted, organized and stepped up to the plate! Throughout his chemo and radiation, no matter how awful he felt, he always had a smile, and never missed an assignment! Now, in high school, he is attending classes at school, but still sometimes receives lectures through zoom. His perseverance and super-positive attitude has not wavered, and he never lost that sense of humor!"
